Megala is a licensed and registered Counsellor with Board of Counsellors (LKM) with 13 years of working experience in the field. Megala has been actively involving herself with Counselling field through training, lecturing, workshop, talks and many more. She often receives invitations to deliver talks on various topics related to the mental health field to school and university students, lecturers, parents and community. She conducts sessions in English, Malay, and Tamil.
She also associates herself with community by engaging herself as a Volunteer Counsellor with Talian Kasih since 2020, Psychology Support Team (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat, KL), Mental Health Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) during COVID-19, Case Manager (Safe Space) for healthcare workers, Wanita Berdaya Selangor Sdn Bhd, Selangor for flood victim and many more over the years. Moreover, she also has experience of dealing with working adults from different countries through EAP programme for more than 3 years.
Megala has experience of working with teenagers, young and working adults for various types of issues including individuals, family, relationship, career/academic, goal setting, finding meaning in life and personal development. She also has experience of working in crisis situations and with high-risk clients for issues of self-harm, suicidal thoughts, bullying, harassment, depression, anxiety, abuse and many more.
