Capt (R) Dr Jasmine Nur Binti Gulam Rashed Khan is an experienced medical practitioner with a diverse background spanning primary care, military medicine, mental health, trauma and emergency care, and preventive health. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Russia, graduating in 2010.
Following her medical training, Dr Jasmine served for approximately ten years in the Malaysian military medical service, where she gained extensive experience in trauma medicine, disaster medicine, aviation medicine and diving medicine.
One of the significant experiences in her career was serving as a Medical Officer with the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in 2015. During this peacekeeping mission, she provided medical care in a challenging humanitarian environment, including treating Syrian refugees. Her military career also included senior medical and leadership responsibilities, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief exercises, and medical coverage for major events.
Since leaving military service in 2020, Dr Jasmine has continued her career in primary healthcare and currently focuses on mental health primary care, wound care, metabolic disorder management and preventive healthcare. She has also undertaken further training in Mental Health Primary Care and Wound Care.
Dr Jasmine is passionate about increasing mental health awareness and helping individuals take a proactive approach to their overall wellbeing. Her approach considers both mental and physical health, with an emphasis on healthy lifestyle practices, prevention, and long-term wellbeing.
Through ZILOY, she hopes to make mental health support more accessible and to help individuals feel comfortable seeking professional guidance when they need it.
